Group Cookie Notice
This Cookie Notice explains what cookies and other similar technology are and how we use them on easyjet.com, easyjet.com/holidays and our easyJet app.
For ease, when we talk about “we” or “us” or “our” or “easyJet” or “group companies”, we mean any or all of these companies:
- easyJet Airline Company Limited
- easyJet UK Limited
- easyJet Europe Airline GmbH
- easyJet Holidays Limited
- easyJet Switzerland S.A
To find out more about how easyJet collects and uses your Personal Data, including through the use of cookies and similar technology, please see our Group Privacy Notice.
What are cookies and similar technology?
We use cookies and similar technologies (“cookies”) to enhance your browsing experience and personalise content and advertisements. Below, we provide information about these technologies to help you understand how we collect and use your data.
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and can do a number of things like remembering what is in your shopping basket, analysing traffic to a website, or tracking users’ browsing behaviour.
Some cookies come directly from our website and others come from third parties who place cookies on our site on our behalf so that we can advertise via them.
Cookies can be stored for varying lengths of time on your browser or device, with session cookies being deleted from your computer or device as soon as you close your browser and persistent cookies remaining stored on your computer or device until deleted or until they reach their expiry date.
We also use scripts, tags, and pixels which are small pieces of code embedded on our website. These technologies allow us to track user actions, such as clicks and page views, and gather information about user preferences and interests. For example, a script provided by an analytics service may track which pages users visit most frequently, how long they stay on each page, and which links they click. This data allows us to optimise our website's layout and content to better meet user needs. Similarly, tags and pixels are often used in advertising to track conversions and retarget users who have previously visited our site.
Our easyJet app utilises Software Development Kits (SDKs) to enhance your experience and provide essential functionalities. These SDKs may collect data about your interactions with the app to help us improve performance, analyse user behaviour, and deliver personalised content. They may also facilitate features such as analytics, advertising, and social media integration.
In addition, we use cookieless technology which refers to the use of alternative more privacy centric methods to track and recognise website and app users without relying on traditional cookies, to deliver personalised marketing. If you have consented to advertising cookies, we will share some of your customer account information (such as your e-mail address etc.) with our advertising partners to provide you with personalised advertising off our website. The information sent will remain in a hashed format until our partner confirms your consent was given to their advertising activities. If consent matching is unsuccessful, the information remains hashed and is immediately deleted ensuring your privacy choices are respected. Your cookie consent will always be respected, and we will not deploy cookieless tracking if you reject the relevant cookie category in our cookie banner.
There are a few different technologies which may be used, including ‘contextual targeting’ where websites analyse the content of the webpage you’re visiting to understand your interests and preferences instead of tracking your behaviour across different sites, like cookies do. Another technology called ‘fingerprinting’ involves collecting various information about your device, like its operating system, browser version and plugins. This can create a unique identifier for your device that can be used to recognise you when you return to the site.
You can control whether you wish to opt out of cookies and similar technology tracking by managing your preferences in our cookie banner or at the bottom of this Notice.

ADVERTISING COOKIES
easyJet uses cookies and similar technologies provided by the main advertising platforms, for example, Google and Meta to deliver our advertisements to you across the internet to:
- Create a profile about you so that we can deliver adverts more relevant to you and your travel needs on and off site.
- Limit the number of times you see an advertisement and measure the effectiveness of our digital advertising campaigns.
- Inform or remind you by email or push notification of any task carried out via our website or app which remains uncompleted, such as incomplete orders or abandoned baskets.
We partner with advertising providers who use cookies and similar technology to learn about your interests across various websites. This helps us present you with ads that match your preferences. If you accept advertising cookies when you visit our site after receiving one of these cookies, we'll recognize your interests and customise our ads to suit your tastes. We'll then display these ads to you through our partners' platforms.
If you choose not to accept these cookies – you'll still see ads from us. They just won't be as personalised to your interests.
We also use cookies to track whether you have clicked through to our website from an affiliate’s websites, so that we can manage our Affiliate Networks. When you click through to our website from an affiliate that displayed easyJet ad, your browser redirects via an Affiliate Network which stores a cookie on your computer with tracking information so that your visit to us is recorded and we can correctly identify conversions.
