If You are a Spanish citizen or citizen of another European Union Member State or a State that is part of the Agreement on the European Economic Area and Switzerland, and You can demonstrate that You are a resident of the Balearic Islands or Canary Islands or the cities of Ceuta and Melilla, You are entitled to a subsidy (discount) in Your journey from Your place of residence to the rest of Spain and vice-versa in direct journeys pursuant to the Royal Decree 1316/2001, dated 30 November modified by Royal Decree 1340/2007, dated 11 October. To ensure this discount is applied to Your Booking You must select the appropriate “Residents” option during the Booking process.
Only the following forms of identification will prove Your residency status – a National Identity Card (DNI) OR passport AND any of the following:
- Certificate of Residency from the Town Hall; or
- Certificate of Residency for minors; or
- Resident Card (NIE); or
- Credentials of a representative or Senator; or
- Central Register of Foreigners Registration Certificate.
During the website Booking process, You will be asked what form of identification You will present at the airport in order to confirm that You are entitled to claim the discount. You must bring the same document to the airport as You enter at the time of making Your Booking. This document must be presented at the Bag Drop Desk and when You board the plane.
Failure to bring the correct identification with You will mean that You will be denied carriage.
In no circumstances will discounts be applied to Flights already taken.
Large Families Discount
The Order of the Ministry of Public Works 3837/2006 establishes the subsidy of domestic air fares to members of large families. Accordingly, members of large families that have been declared as such (under Article 12 of Act 40/2003 of 18 November regarding the protection of Large Families) may benefit from a fare reduction on Our standard national fare rates. To be eligible, You must be a resident of the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands or the cities of Ceuta and Melilla. You must select the “Large Family” option during the Booking process to ensure that the discount is applied.
In order to obtain the discount You must show:
Official Certificate of Large Family (whether individual or collective) issued by the Autonomous Community; and
an identification document, either a National Identity card (DNI) or a Residency Card (or date of birth for minors under the age of 14). See Article 11 (Infants and Children) for more information on infants and children travelling.
During the website Booking process, You will be asked what form of identification You will present at the airport in order to confirm that You qualify for the large families’ discount. You must bring the same document to the airport as You enter at the time of making Your Booking which must be presented at the Bag Drop Desk and when You board the plane

In no circumstances will discounts be applied to Flights already taken.
Mixed Bookings
Mixed Bookings means some members of the Booking are eligible for the Residents’ Discount or Large Families Discount whilst others are not. Mixed Bookings will not be accepted by the Carrier via any booking method. When making a Booking, please ensure that all members of the party are eligible for the relevant discounts. If some members are not eligible, a separate Booking for those eligible Passengers must be made.
Changes
Changes cannot be made online to Bookings where the Residents’ discount or the Large families’ discount has been applied. If You wish to make amendments to the Booking please contact our Customer Service Team.
