Why fly to Tunisia?
Tunisia’s Mediterranean coast is blessed with miles of fabulous beaches but there’s more to the country than this. Five of the Star Wars films were filmed here - the real-life town of Tataouine gave George Lucas an extra dollop of inspiration - and tours are on offer to all the filming locations. You don’t even need to dress up like a Jawa to join one – though the dunes of the Sahara might tempt you to saddle up your camel to enjoy the sunset over the sand sea. The country's created a few epic stories of its own, too. Hannibal and his elephants set out to conquer Rome from the ancient, northern city of Carthage.
