The outdoor pool is a saltwater number fringed with sun loungers and parasols, perfect for an afternoon spent devouring the latest page turner. For the best sea view, head up to the raised sundeck where there’s a petite second swim spot and a smattering of bean bags. If you fancy a dip in the sea, meanwhile, the pebbled shore is just a five-minute wander from the hotel.

Elsewhere you can walk the four minutes to the harbour and hop on a boat out to Mouse Island, a tiny, picturesque islet that’s home to a Byzantine monastery and a charming café-bar. Once you’re back on the island, why not head into Corfu Town for a ramble around? There’s a bus stop about a minutes’ walk from the hotel which will get you there in about 15 minutes.

A mix of traditional Mediterranean cuisine and international fare makes up the menu at the on-site buffet restaurant. For snacks and drinks served early ‘til late, the Royal Café Snack Bar is on hand with its selection of light bites, coffees, and cocktails that come with a sweeping view of the sea – and of Mouse Island. Poolside refreshments, meanwhile, are dealt with handily by the pool bar during the day. Fancy something different? See what’s on offer in Kanoni or hop in a taxi and head into Corfu – either way you’ll be sure to find something to delight your tastebuds.
