Vasia Ormos Hotel

The bay across the road is secluded and peaceful, with a small, sand and pebble beach, and a smattering of boats moored in the calm waters. There are another two beaches within a 10-minute walk, too, so you’ll have plenty of choice when it comes to swimming and sunbathing. Back at the hotel there are two outdoor pools, fringed with sun loungers and parasols – perfect for an afternoon of chilling out.

Breakfast and dinner are plentiful buffets of international and local dishes, served up in the main restaurant daily. For snacks and drinks served from early until late, the bar is the place to be – not least because it comes with a view of the cove. Move to the lobby bar in the evening to enjoy a glass of wine and savour that gorgeous Cretan sunset.
