Agia Efimia Holidays

A beautiful fishing village

Agia Efimia holidays are relaxed and civilised. This small fishing village is located on the east coast of Kefalonia, and is the quintessential Greek harbour destination – complete with yachts swaying on a crystal-clear sea, overlooked by an inviting scattering of waterside restaurant tables. It’s all very picturesque. French architects helped design many of the buildings, lending the holidays to Agia Efimia the air of a stylish Gallic Riviera.

It’s also perfectly located to explore the rest of the island – whether you’re a couple hopping in the car to drive to Myrtos Beach, or a family catching the ferry to make a day trip to nearby Ithaca. But there’s plenty to entice you to stay in Agia Efimia itself, particularly if you’re tempted by local cuisine – some of Kefalonia’s most popular restaurants can be found in the village. And whether you choose a table right on the harbour or an al fresco terrace in one of the restaurants in town, you’ll get a great view with your meal.

Your Agia Efimia questions, answered

Absolutely – the village is located just a 15-minute drive from famous Myrtos Beach, and there are caves to visit nearby, too. In town, you can spend hours at the relaxed harbourside cafés.
You could spend your entire trip here, or catch a ferry over to the neighbouring island of Ithaca for a day. If you’re keen to explore further, though, a car will give you more freedom.
Some of the best restaurants on the island can be found in Agia Efimia – particularly if you’re keen to try the island’s signature dish of homemade meat pie.
