Chrani Holidays

Sun, sea, and fabulous beaches

Hidden away on the Messinian Gulf, Chrani is a charming coastal village with everything you need for a blissful escape – sun-drenched beaches, mouth-watering Greek food, and a wonderfully unhurried pace of life.

Start your stay by soaking up the sun on Chrani Beach, a long, pebbly stretch lapped by the crystal-clear waters of the Ionian Sea. No loud beach bars here, just plenty of room to kick back, relax, and watch the waves roll in. If pebbles aren’t quite your thing, jump in a cab and in 15 minutes you can be at Vounaria Beach, where you’ll find soft sand and turquoise waters waiting to greet you.

When you’ve worked up an appetite, wander over to one of Chrani’s cosy tavernas. Whether you’re craving freshly grilled fish, a classic Greek salad topped with creamy feta, or a plate of sizzling saganaki (fried cheese, anyone?), you’ll find it all here.

Just a 20-minute cab ride away is Koroni, a seaside gem complete with a grand Venetian castle, bustling waterfront restaurants, and narrow, winding streets – the perfect place for a day of exploring.
Chrani is also a great base for discovering some of the Peloponnese’s gems. A 40-minute drive gets you to Ancient Messini, where you can wander through well-preserved ruins dating back to the 4th century BC! Or, if you’re a nature lover, head to the Polylimnio Waterfalls, a stunning series of hidden pools and cascades just 45 minutes by car.

When evening rolls around, there’s no better way to end the day than with a quiet stroll along Chrani Beach. The sunsets here are spectacular, with the sky painted in shades of pink, purple, and gold as the sun dips below the horizon. So, make sure you don’t miss out on your big fat Greek sunset!
