La Mer Deluxe Hotel and Spa

The hotel is in a great spot, just across the road from a gorgeous sandy beach and a short walk from the restaurants and bars of lively Kamari. There’s a lovely pool with a whirlpool section outside, edged by trees and with a good supply of loungers and parasols neighbouring the water. The hotel restaurant has an al fresco seating area overlooking the pool. In terms of cuisine, expect a good variety of international dishes and local specialities at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Inside, everything feels true to the isle of Santorini. Cue all-white spaces freckled with glossy shrubs. The spa, in particular, is beautifully done, and features a sauna, Turkish bath and cabins for massage treatments and facials. The cocktail bar also deserves a special mention – it’s got an impressive drinks selection and nautical-themed interiors.
