Just around the corner from the hotel, you'll find yourself on Laugavegur – the city's main street, running right through the middle of downtown. It's home to a plethora of clothing stores, souvenir shops, cosy cafes, bars, restaurants, and plenty more.
Hallgrimskirkja
It'll take you around 5-10 minutes to walk to Reykjavik's iconic Lutheran church, which dominates the skyline with its stark, grey basalt exterior and distinct, rocket-like shape. It's a must-visit landmark, and the views from the observation platform at the top are truly spectacular.
Rainbow Street
Rainbow Street (Skólavörðustígur) is perhaps the most photographed street in the whole of Reykjavik, thanks to the colourful mural that now permanently adorns it's northernmost end (where it meets Laugavegur). You get fantastic views looking up towards Hallgrimskirkja from here, and there are loads of great places to eat, drink and shop. It's just a two-minute walk away.
