A stay in a historic property.
The history of the Albergo Santa Chiara begins in 1839, when a fiaschetteria - a sort of wine shop, was transformed into a small inn. Modest rooms are distributed across three adjoining buildings, one of which is host to the Saint Catherine from Siena chapel, whilst the old lobby is now a theatre. There’s a lovely open-air bar overlooking piazza Minerva, where conversations easily strike up, in this impeccably run hotel that has been in the same family for nearly a century. The rooms are spacious, offering both classic and contemporary design. You will find this is a friendly, relaxed hotel that will make you feel right at home.
