Elegant stay in central Venice
This luxurious hotel combines the seclusion of a quiet street with the convenience of a central location. You’re less than five minutes on foot from the Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge in one direction, and the cathedrals and palaces of the Piazza San Marco in the other. Why not make your sightseeing really special and book a private gondola ride from the hotel’s own jetty?
Food and drink is exceptionally good here. Dine in Le Maschere for classic Venetian dishes, which have been elevated by celebrated executive chef Massimo Levan. Then, as the sun sets, head up to Altana, the gorgeous rooftop bar, to drink in the breathtaking views – and maybe a couple of cocktails.
Rooms are elegantly detailed with sumptuous furnishings and include wi-fi, air conditioning and a television with international satellite channels. There’s even a pillow menu to choose from, so you can get the night’s sleep that’s just right for you.

What Splendid Venice Starhotels Collezione has to offer
Ca’ Pesaro International Gallery of Modern Art
Facing onto the Grand Canal, this stunning marble palace was built in the 18th century and it’s been dedicated to modern art since 1898. It’s worth a visit just to take in the Baroque architecture, but the fantastic collection housed inside represents some of the most influential artistic movements happening in Italy during the 20th century, right up to today. As with many of Venice’s major spots, it’s within an easy 10-minute walk from the hotel.
St Mark's Basilica
St Mark's Basilica is a golden-domed cathedral dating back to the 11th century. It sits at the east end of the city centre, just a short walk from the hotel and from the Doge's Palace. Inside, you'll see gold mosaics, great works of Renaissance art from Titian and Tintoretto, and a stunning golden altar decorated with over 2,000 precious stones. There's also a museum with items and treasures from the 13th-century crusades.
Murano
Home to Venice’s famed glass-making industry, the island of Murano is well worth a visit. Learn about the rich history of glass-making in the Museo del Vetro, or take a tour of a glass-blowing factory and watch delicate ornaments being handmade by skilled artisans. The island is a 25-minute journey from Piazza San Marco by water bus, or your concierge can book you onto a tour to make your trip even easier.
