H10 White Suites

This upscale adults-only hotel is a brilliant springboard for experiencing the best of Lanzarote’s south coast. The complex is a short walk from the golden sands of Playa Dorada Beach, and Playa Blanca’s pretty centre – with its bars, restaurants and boutiques – is also within easy reach.

Back at the H10 White Suites, the focus is on doing as little as possible. Two lagoon-style swimming pools help with this – they’re flanked by sleek wooden decking, and cocooned by palm trees, parasols and chic Balinese daybeds. Plus there’s a bar that’ll keep you sorted with waterside cocktails. Elsewhere, a stylish spa offers massages, scrubs and wraps.

When it comes to dining, you’ve got an airy buffet restaurant for meals, with a huge variety of international dishes and show cooking stations available. A couple of bars provide the setting for cocktails after dark. One’s a lobby version, and the other – La Haima Blue Bar – transports you straight to the Middle East, with artisan rugs, floor cushions and shisha pipes.

Lastly, a word on the rooms. They’re sleek and contemporary, with lots of white, dark-wood furnishings, and avant garde artworks. Amenities are slicker than average, and include coffee machines, flat screen TVs and luxury bathrobes and slippers.
