Skanes Holidays

Skanes is a custom-built resort on Tunisia’s east coast, close to the historic cities of Sousse and Monastir. It’s popular with families, and brags a lovely sandy beach washed by the calm waves of the Mediterranean Sea. 

Most of the action on holidays to Skanes takes place in the hotels, where top pool scenes and lively entertainment programmes are par-for-the-course. The resort has a few odd souvenir shops and restaurants, plus a miniature mall if retail therapy is on the cards.

Sousse and Monastir are both less than a 10-minute drive away, and offer a window into a Tunisia of days gone by. We’re talking spice-scented markets cocooned by ancient walls, and spindly alleyways lined with centuries-old buildings. Sousse, especially, has a great line-up of nightspots, including super-chic clubs and underground shisha dens.
