Champion Holiday Village

The Champion Holiday Village brags a spectacular setting. It’s tucked away in a thick pine forest in the foothills of the Taurus Mountains, and pulled up next to a Blue Flag beach. Along with secluded surroundings and direct access to the sands, you can look forward to panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding green peaks.

You get a choice of pools here, including a main pool that hosts games and entertainment, an adults-only relaxation number, and one with two curvy waterslides. There are a handful of bars for drinks and snacks throughout the day, and the gozleme stand gets a real thumbs up from families, and dishes out delicious made-to-order Turkish pancakes and traditional yoghurt.

Elsewhere, you’ve got a lengthy sports line-up, ticking off the likes of tennis, darts, volleyball and watersports. You can use the tennis courts for free during the day, but the hire of tennis equipment and floodlights is payable locally. Alternatively, you can slow things down at the spa, a state-of-the-art centre for treatments, with a not-to-be-missed Turkish bath experience.

The gastronomy scene also impresses. The main restaurant is the place for international buffet spreads, while the two a la carte eateries treat guests to lip-smacking grilled meats, fresh-from-the-net seafood and meze platters. In the evenings, take your pick from low-key cocktails in the lobby bar, and live shows and music acts on the outdoor stage.

Just so you know, in-room Wi-Fi is payable locally, otherwise it's available in public areas for free.
