You’ll find the action-packed Melas Lara – and its manicured gardens – set back just a little from Kundu Beach. Wander down the palm tree-lined pathway that connects the hotel with the beach and you can pad across the sand for miles. Lara Beach – home to eight kilometres of sand-lined shores – is within a 10-minute drive, too.

Back at the hotel, the pool scene steals the spotlight. The main pool is a seriously huge lagoon-style number fringed by loungers and parasols, so it makes the perfect place for a sunbathing session. You’ll also find a hot tub and three splash-ready waterslides, as well as a pool for little ones to splash in. Feeling peckish? There’s a poolside bar for drinks and snacks, and another bar down on the beach. Sweet toothed guests can grab cakes and desserts from the patisserie, too.
