Jiva Beach Resort

With chic interiors and a laidback atmosphere, the Jiva Beach Resort is effortlessly impressive. Set on a lagoon, there’s an almost Maldivian feel here, with glass-sided bridges connecting the buildings. Just across the road is Calis Beach – a sand-and-shingle number that slopes into the Mediterranean Sea. You’re not too far from civilisation either, with the centre of Fethiye within a 10-minute cab ride.

Wander through the grounds and you’ll find pools dotted throughout the complex. There are five outdoor pools to choose from, including a Jacuzzi pool, a kids’ pool, and another that’s loaded with waterslides. Head inside and you’ll find another pool, which is set aside for relaxation.

If you can tear yourself away from your sun lounger, you can get involved in games of table tennis, beach volleyball, and mini golf. Aqua fit sessions take place in the pool, and you can even join dance and yoga classes. There’s a luxurious spa to indulge in, too, which offers massages and other pampering treatments. Little ones, meanwhile, will be kept busy at the hotel-run kids’ club. If you fancy venturing out of the hotel, you'll find a small selection of shops, bars, and restaurants about a 10-minute stroll away. 

When it comes to food, you’ve got the choice of four restaurants. The main restaurant is a buffet setup serving around-the-world dishes, and then you’ve got a snack restaurant by the poolside. A pair of à la carte restaurants also join the ranks – one specialises in Turkish cuisine, while the other deals in Mediterranean dishes. Drinks are on offer from four bars including the Lagoon Bar which is not to be missed – it’s perched over the lagoon on stilts, and is the perfect place to watch the sun set.
