Iztuzu Apart & Villas

For peace, quiet and a warm, welcoming vibe, you can’t go wrong with Iztuzu Apart and Villas. It’s tucked away in a leafy neighbourhood around a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of Dalyan, a laid-back riverside town surrounded by farmland and forested hills – 12km inland from Turkey’s Mediterranean coast. 

You’ll no doubt want to spend plenty of time chilling by the outdoor pool, perhaps with an ice-cold beer in hand, but there’s also no shortage of things to see and do in the local area. Besides exploring the charming town itself, visiting Iztuzu Beach (20 minutes away by bus or car) is a must. As well as being an idyllic place to swim and sunbathe, it’s also renowned for being home to a large population of loggerhead sea turtles. Tempted to try a mud bath? Head to Köyceğiz Lake, where the mineral-rich mud baths are said to have a whole host of rejuvenating health benefits. 

A buffet breakfast is available at the on-site restaurant, and if you feel like having a night in, you can also enjoy a home-cooked dinner – or take advantage of the kitchen facilities in your accommodation. In Dalyan, meanwhile, you’ll find many great places to sample traditional Turkish cuisine and get a feel for the local culture.
