Just off of Taksim Square – the lively epicentre of the city’s nightlife – you’ll have some of Istanbul’s best bars, clubs, and restaurants on the doorstep. You’ll be super well-connected, too, with metro, bus, tram, and even ferry links within shouting distance.

So, what’s first on your list? If the history and culture of the Old City is calling your name, hop on the tram and make your way across the river. Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, and Hagia Sophia are roughly half an hour away by tram, and you’ll be treated to some stellar views along the way. On your way back to base, why not stop off at Galata Tower? It’s got some of the best views of the city from its upper balcony.
