A peaceful and historic villa on Lapad Bay

Villa Filaus was built in 1931, and its appearance evokes a splendour of times gone by, although the rooms inside are more modern than the exterior suggests. There’s a collection of smartly finished double rooms and a selection of one and two-bedroom apartments with kitchen and dining areas if you’re looking for more of a home-away-from-home set-up.

The Lapad Bay promenade, a hub of cafés, restaurants, and pâtisseries, is a stone's throw away from Villa Filaus. A leisurely five-minute stroll will lead you to the sea and a pebble beach, offering lovely views of the Grebeni islets as you go.

The villa features a circular outdoor swimming pool nestled in palm-studded gardens, although you can use the facilities at the villa’s sister hotel, Hotel More, where there’s another outdoor pool and fabulous al fresco, sea view restaurants to enjoy.

When you’re ready to explore further, you can catch a cab to Dubrovnik—it’s about a ten-minute journey. Then, retreat to the villa for peaceful evenings in lovely surroundings.
