Sail through history on the Nile

Step aboard the Iberotel Crown Emperor and set sail through history. The riverbank is awash with ancient ruins, impressive temples, and relics of an era long gone but not yet forgotten. With ample stops built into the itinerary, you'll have plenty of opportunities to see the iconic landmarks for yourself – and plenty of time leftover to recline on the sundeck, cocktail in hand, too. What Iberotel Crown Emperor - 7nt Nile Cruise has to offer

    Day 1 – Embarkation

    Fly from the UK to Luxor and when you arrive, you'll hop on a transfer to your ship, ready for the start of your Nile cruise. You'll check in and get settled into your cabin, before hitting the restaurant for a bite to eat. After dinner the ship will remain in Luxor overnight.

    Day 2 – Luxor, Esna, and Edfu

    This morning is your chance to explore some of the highlights of Luxor – tick off the Necropolis of Thebes, the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. After a morning exploring, board the ship again and sail to Edfu via the Esna Lock. The ship will dock overnight in Edfu.

    Day 3 – Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Aswan

    While docked in Edfu for the morning, disembark and pay a visit to the Edfu Temple, which is dedicated to Horus, the mythical son of Isis and Osiris. The ship will sail to Kom Ombo in the afternoon, before continuing down the river to Aswan.

    Day 4 – Aswan

    The ship will be docked in Aswan all day, so it's the perfect opportunity to visit the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk, and the Temple of Philae. You could also fit in a relaxing trip on a felucca to take in views of the Agha Khan Mausoleum and Elephantine Island as you sail past. The ship will remain docked in Aswan overnight.

    Day 5 – Aswan

    You'll wake up in Aswan again today. In the morning, head over to Abu Simbel Temple, an ancient wonder that's well worth looking around. Spend the rest of the day on the ship making the most of the onboard facilities.

    Day 6 – Aswan, Kom Ombo, and Edfu

    You'll have a bit of free time in Aswan before the ship sets sail to Kom Ombo in the early afternoon. Squeeze in a visit to the Kom Ombo Temple after tea time before hopping back on the ship to sail on to Edfu, where the ship will dock overnight.

    Day 7 – Luxor

    You'll spend most of the day sailing back to Luxor, so you'll have ample time to relax and unwind after a week packed with sightseeing. In the evening, enjoy your final dinner onboard before taking in a show featuring belly dancing and whirling dervishes.

    Day 8 – Disembark in Luxor

    Check out of your cabin and disembark the ship. Ahead of your transfer to Luxor Airport for your return flight to the UK, you'll have the opportunity to do a final bit of sightseeing with included visits* to the Grand Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temple.
