Lourdas Holidays

A sleepy village by the sea

Set in one of the biggest bays on the Greek island of Kefalonia, Lourdata holidays provide a mile of fine white sand and aquamarine, crystal-clear water, making it the perfect place to unwind and spend the day soaking up the sun. This little village at the foot of Mount Ainos consists of a smattering of cafés, family-run tavernas and a historic church.

Holidays to Lourdata give you the opportunity to hike to the summit of the mountain through thick forest where, during certain times of the year, the floor is carpeted in purple flowers. This lush woodland is also home to wildlife, including wild horses, eagles and badgers. At the end of an energetic day, head to one of the beachfront tavernas and sample the Greek delicacies, a few of which are locally produced, as many restaurants grow their own figs and tomatoes. You’ll want to return to Lourdata for the beef stifado alone.
