Hotel New York

Housed in the former headquarters of international cruise line Holland America Line, Hotel New York offers a little slice of history with your stay. Rooms here are funky and unique, just like the rest of the hotel. As for exploring, that’ll be a breeze thanks to the handy public transport links – the tram and metro are both within eight minutes’ walk. 

Fancy catching a film while you’re here? There’s a private cinema – Rotterdam’s first in fact – tucked inside the hotel where you can enjoy everything from the latest blockbuster to a cult classic. All you have to do is book a slot, and they’ll take care of the rest. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, head to the café-restaurant and grab everything from a quick bite to a plate of oysters.  

For a real treat though, you’ll have to visit NY Basement, a trendy restaurant that’s been pulled right out of 1930s New York. Expect tasty food, plentiful cocktails, and bags of character.
