Capri doesn’t have its own airport, so the quickest and easiest way to reach the island is by booking a flight to Naples and getting a ferry, which should take around 50 minutes from the Naples port. Along the way enjoy beautiful views of Italy’s coastline, and an incredible first impression of Capri as it rises up from the sea. You can also book a private boat, but the ferry is very comfortable and generally leaves ten times a day, so it’s a great option.
On top of its stunning coastline, Capri offers many cultural and historical treasures that make it one of Italy’s most loved destinations. Stroll through the glamorous streets of Capri Town, visit the opulent Villa San Michele, and marvel at the ancient ruins of Villa Jovis. Love a souvenir? Capri has some incredible shops, especially shoe stores, where you can get sandals made from scratch based on your measurements. For those who’d rather spend time in nature, Capri has some incredible hiking trails criss-crossing the island. You can even take a one-person chairlift to the top to appreciate the awe-inspiring panoramas over the island and the sea. Or take to the water on a boat your to explore sea caves, including the UNESCO- certified Blue Grotto.
