To start your Positano adventure, we’d recommend flying into Naples Airport (NAP), which is the primary airport serving the Amalfi Coast. From there, you can enjoy a scenic drive along the stunning coastline in a renting a car, or opt for a hassle-free private transfer to whisk you away to the heart of Positano. The transfer should take just under two hours each way. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also opt for a transfer or taxi to Sorrento, and grab a ferry to Positano from there.
Positano is first and foremost famous for its iconic beach, flanked by colourful houses stacked on top of each other alongside the hillside, so make sure to spend lots of time soaking up the views from a beach blanket or chair. Take your time strolling along the charming streets of the town, filled with boutique shops and vibrant cafes, as well as groceries selling local products and lemons as big as your head. Don't miss the opportunity to indulge in authentic Italian cuisine at seaside restaurants and savour the unique flavours of the region.
