Two minutes’ stroll from a pebbled stretch of shoreline that sits in a quiet cove, Poseidon Studios has got peaceful escape written all over it. There are only a handful of rooms here, so you can expect a friendly atmosphere along with a generous helping of peace and quiet.

Stroll 15 minutes in one direction and you’ll find yourself in the island’s capital of Patitiri– a dreamy little harbour village that boasts whitewashed streets, a small-but-perfectly-formed beach, and a slew of charming tavernas and cafés. Stroll 15 minutes from Poseidon Studios in the other direction, meanwhile, and you’ll find yourself in the equally charming – and equally sleepy – village of Votsi. Home to one of the island’s most beautiful bays, you can expect crystal-clear waters dotted with local fishing boats.
